Lace Wig Vs Hair Weaves

Lace wigs versus hair weaving is the ultimate battle that was bound to happen. For years, weaving techniques have been the preferred choice for women who wanted to change their look without drastically changing their own hair. Now, many people have migrated to using hair wigs for their realistic look and seamless fit. For those of you who are still choosing sides, the differences are stark and listed below.

Realistic Look

Through various weaving techniques, many styles have a natural appearance. If your natural hair crown is exposed, this is as real as it gets. Another method includes the net or cap weaves. This technique allows for your braided hair under the stocking cap or net to grow without creating a cone head appearance. While all of these methods are advancements from traditional weaving techniques, lace wigs have went a step further.

Lace wigs are similar in the sense that they are made to attain a natural looking hairline and part. With hair wigs, the base is typically French lace or Swiss lace so that it can be applied directly to the skin. To achieve a natural part, none of your natural hair needs to be out as the lace wig acts as your hair and your scalp in one unit.

Healthy Hair & Growth

An added bonus of a hair weave can be potential hair growth. Many women get weaves to try different styles but they also do this so they cannot damage their own hair. The problem with this is that the weave itself can cause some issues. Tight braids and the weaving string that is laced through the braids can cause significant damage if not properly cared for. For women who were tired of taking out their weave and seeing damaged hair, hair systems were the answer.

Lace wigs are almost certain to aid in hair growth and prevent damaged hair. You have the option of braiding the natural hair or simply wearing it unbraided under a stocking cap. This is an option that cannot be had with a hair weave. Since the hair wig itself acts as the natural hairline and scalp, none of your own hair needs to be out so it acts as a protective style. This means that in harsh weather conditions, your hair will be protected from damage.

Cost Effectiveness

As the price of lace wigs and weaves vary greatly, the cost effectiveness is in the eye of the beholder. Some women feel as though their at home full weave is well worth the lower cost while others will only go to the top salon for installation. A simple way to compare is to look at the cost of maintenance overtime.

A hair weave will require the purchase of hair. Human hair at longer lengths is often more expensive just like with lace wigs. Your hair must then be washed, deep conditioned and braided. The process is the same with a hair wig with the exception of braided hair which is completely optional.

Depending if this is an at home style, the installation for a weave can cost anywhere from $60 to $300 and up. For lace wigs, this is almost identical. While hair systems are rather expensive on the front end, they can last a lifetime. A hair weave can usually be worn for no more than 2 months.

After the weave is taken out, the whole process of purchasing hair, braiding, and installation must be repeated at the same costs. For lace wigs, you can use the same hair wig over again after washing. When your hair wig is lacking, you can simply have it repaired versus buying a brand new one. The overall cost and ease of a lace wig seems very worth the front end cost as it is a long term investment in your beauty.

Some women love their weaves but for those who decide to switch over to lace wigs, very few are disappointed and seldom return to the unnatural appearance, costly process, and potential hair damage that a weave causes.

Hot Huez Hair Chalk Review

Having a teenager can be rough, and it's even rougher when you have a teen girl. Every dad knows that. There are a lot of reasons that's it's difficult, and it can be difficult to know just what to do with your teenager, or where you can find common ground. It seems like they're always testing you, and you are always trying to find ways to get along.

For example, my daughter wanted do dye her hair like a lot of her friends are doing. I didn't want her to dye it permanently, of course. She has gorgeous chestnut brown hair with golden highlights, but she wanted to dye it black and purple and pink! I wanted to make sure that whatever she did wasn't permanent, but I couldn't seem to find a good solution. Everything her mom found seemed to bleed or run, and she hated everything I tried because it seemed like it wasn't working. Finally, I found Hot Huez.

Hot Huez is a lifesaver, it really is. It's so simple to use, all my daughter needed to do was "draw" on her hair and the color stuck until the next time she shampooed her hair. They have enough colors to keep her satisfied, and I don't have to worry that there will be permanent damage to her beautiful hair.

That was just the start. After she had been using Hot Huez for a while, she asked her mom if she wanted to use it. Now, mom is a very conservative person. However, anything to strengthen the relationship right?! She tried one or two of the darker colors in her hair. Both she and our daughter loved it, and told all her friends. Now they think she's "cool" and so does our little girl (LOL).

Now, I let my daughter color her hair for school, which I know some parents don't do. The reason I do it is because I think of it this way: she doesn't have a full-time job, so why not let her be a kid! Coloring her hair is something that is simple and doesn't cause her any trouble. As long as her grades are fine, I will let her wear what she likes and go to school the way she likes.

She does run through the Hot Huez chalk rather quickly. It works out pretty well anyway though, because they are rather inexpensive. I've actually been really pleased with how affordable Hot Huez is, since it does wash out quite nicely when we shampoo our hair.

We're interested to see if there are more colors forthcoming, since we have liked all the colors we've tried. I've even tried a few other brands with different colors, but the quality was terrible and we always come back to Hot Huez.

It's not easy living with a teenager. So when I find something that works well we stick with it, and Hot Huez is great.

You have no hair exposed, and these locks from Milky Way Lace Front wigs are made from one hundred percent human hair. They are extremely light weight and will be hardly noticeable by the wearer.
